The UNFPA Open Data is an initiative designed to track global progress towards achieving UNFPA's goals and targets embedded in the Strategic Plans, ICPD, MDGs and the Post-2015 development agenda as per UNFPA's mandate. The Open Data compiles the latest data from household surveys (DHS and MICS), population census and population projections and allows for easy generation of tables, graphs, and maps for inclusion and use in reports, advocacy materials and presentations.
Policy makers and planners are encouraged to access to the database to support evidence-based decision making on issues related to sexual and reproductive health, reproductive rights, population dynamics, gender equality and adolescent and youths.
